Also strongly represented are John B. Cary's daughter Gillienna Armistead "Gillie" (Cary) McCabe (correspondence with extended family members concerning, among other topics, the death of her husband W. Gordon McCabe); daughter-in-law Maria Barry (Abert) Cary (correspondence concerning her work with the Presbyterian Church and her support for missionary activities as well as discussion of family news and her travels in the United States, Europe, and the Mid-East), and his granddaughter Martha Abert "Pattie" (Cary) Cecil (correspondence with brother George Abert Cary written while George was a student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and Pattie was living in Richmond, Va.; letters chiefly mention social activities and functions in Richmond and family news).
